Ingredients
s mores Blondies ingredients:
- Dark Brown Sugar: This is a must-have ingredient for its rich, deep sweetness that adds a caramel-like flavor to the blondies. It also helps to keep the texture moist and chewy, making each bite incredibly satisfying.
- Graham Crackers: Crushed graham crackers are essential for giving the blondies their classic s'more taste. I like using cinnamon flavored. They infuse the dough with that familiar, toasty flavor that everyone loves in a traditional s'more, making the blondies taste authentically delicious.
- Cinnamon: A hint of extra cinnamon in the graham cracker cookie dough adds a warm, cozy flavor that perfectly complements the graham crackers. This subtle spice elevates the overall taste, giving the blondies an extra layer of deliciousness.
- Dark Chocolate: Dark chocolate is needed to balance the sweetness of the blondies. Its rich, slightly bitter taste cuts through the sweetness of the sugar and marshmallow, creating a perfect harmony of flavors. It also melts beautifully, adding a gooey, indulgent element to the blondies.
- Marshmallow Fluff: The key to blondies with marshmallows is instead of regular marshmallows, marshmallow fluff is used to achieve a smooth, gooey filling that mixes perfectly with the other ingredients. Regular marshmallows can become too chewy and lose their texture, almost disappearing, while marshmallow fluff stays creamy and gooey, ensuring every bite has that classic s'more gooeyness.
- Extra egg yolk: I always add an extra egg yolk to my blondie recipes, it makes the final result way more fudge like and tender.

Why this smore blondies recipe is in grams
Using a kitchen scale, especially in this s'more blondie recipe, becomes particularly crucial due to the inclusion of graham cracker powder. Graham cracker powder can vary significantly in volume depending on how finely it's ground and how densely it's packed into a measuring cup. By measuring the graham cracker powder in grams, you ensure precise and consistent amounts each time you make the recipe. This accuracy is essential because graham cracker powder not only contributes to the flavor but also affects the texture of the blondies. Too much or too little can throw off the balance of ingredients, potentially resulting in a texture that's either too dense or too crumbly. Therefore, using a kitchen scale to measure the graham cracker powder by weight guarantees that each batch of blondies maintains the perfect flavor and texture, ultimately enhancing the overall baking experience.
Substitutions
- Add a peanut butter twist to your s'more blondies by swirling creamy peanut butter into the batter before baking. The rich, nutty flavor pairs perfectly with the chocolate and marshmallow, creating a decadent treat. You can also sprinkle some crushed peanut butter cups on top for extra indulgence.
- Elevate your blondies with a touch of salted caramel. Drizzle caramel sauce over the batter and sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt before baking. The caramel adds a buttery sweetness, while the sea salt enhances the flavors, balancing the sweetness and adding a gourmet touch.
- Top the smore blondies with vanilla ice cream or the ultimate summer dessert!!

Pro tips
- Use Room Temperature Ingredients: Ensure that your butter, eggs, and other refrigerated ingredients are at room temperature before mixing. This helps the ingredients blend more smoothly and evenly, resulting in a more consistent and tender blondie texture.
- Don’t Overmix the Batter: When combining the wet and dry ingredients, mix just until they are incorporated. Overmixing can cause the blondies to become tough and lose their desired chewy texture. Gentle mixing will keep the blondies soft and chewy.
- Properly Layer the Marshmallow Fluff: To achieve the perfect gooey consistency, layer the marshmallow fluff evenly between the blondie batter layers. This prevents it from sinking to the bottom and ensures you get that gooey, marshmallow goodness in every bite. Using a spoon dipped in warm water can help spread the fluff more easily and evenly.
